Is an online bookkeeping course worth the cost?

I am considering an online bookkeeping certificate to change careers. The tuition is a few months of savings, so I want to know what happened after people finished.

Did the certificate come up in interviews, or did employers ask for something else, such as software experience or a college program? I am trying to tell practice from a credential.

    I took one. The practice with the software helped. In three interviews the certificate itself never came up. They asked what system I'd actually closed a month in.

      Look at postings in your city before you pay. The ones I wanted named a college program, not an online certificate.
